Adblock is an extension available for Firefox browsers, and like its name states, is intended to block various kinds of ads. In addition, it is also capable of blocking anything the user wants, from individual files, frames, or even entire sites and their content.

When a user complains about an image posted or otherwise being displayed by another user, a common response is "Adblock." This reply is used quite often in response to Internet Explorer users to annoy them, as the extension can't be used in that browser, nor does it have equivalent blocking support built-in.
