Coding Experience Progression
From Mario Fan Games Galaxy Wiki
Coding Experience Progression is a concept that attempts to quantize the various stages of an individual's game and application development skills.
[edit]
Stages
- N/A - No attempt at development has been made or is planned to be made
- 1 - The user has basic skills; programs are almost entirely comprised of pre-made libraries or features, which may have numerous bugs or lack customization options.
- 2 - The user has enhanced skills; programs are still largely pre-coded, though signs of understanding the environment are beginning to show
- 3 - The user has moderate skills; programs are somewhat equally custom and pre-coded. The user has decent understanding of the environment, and starts to find limitations in the pre-made resources.
- 4 - The user has advanced skills; programs are largely custom. The user begins to hit limitation after limitation with the pre-coded resources, and starts to work around them.
- 5 - The user is essentially an expert; programs are close to or are even entirely custom. Pre-coded resources are used very sparingly, if at all, and usually only as shortcuts, as their limitations are too rigid for efficient use.
